About This Course

Description:
Inference-Based CBT in an evidence-based treatment for adults with obsessive compulsive disorder. While research has not yet been conducted with kids, many therapists are finding effective ways to adapt the protocol to working with kids who have not benefited from Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) treatment. This training will give clinicians an overview of when to consider ICBT for kids and how to apply the 12 modules to work with kids.

Objectives

  • Identify where the research currently stands on using ICBT for kids.

  • Assess whether or not a child is a good candidate for ICBT.

  • Demonstrate how to introduce ICBT to kids and their families.

  • Identify at least one method of adapting each of the twelve modules to kids.

Target Audience: Introductory. For clinicians with little to no experience in the subject matter. Intermediate. For clinicians with experience who want to strengthen their skillset.
